is a website set up by the Joint Trade Associations Group (JTA) to communicate to stakeholders about the availability of potential funding to support strategic WEEE research projects.
The current financial position of the WEEE Fund is available here.
Joint Trade Associations Group
The JTA was formed to represent the views of producers of electrical and electronic products to Government and the market generally regarding producer responsibility obligations, including the WEEE Regulations.
Its members are nine Trade Associations.
Additionally, the JTA is supported by three producer-led Compliance Schemes (PCS’s) that support the JTA aims.
JTA is an unincorporated body and not a legal entity.
Joint Trade Associations (Contracts) Limited
JTAC is a legal entity formed by the JTA for the purpose of entering into contracts with 3rd parties for services relating to administering the WCF.
JTAC is a not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee rather than shareholdings, so that no distribution of funds to it’s members is possible.
By forming JTAC and contracting-out responsibility for administering the compliance fee to Mazars the JTA has ensured the provision of a highly confidential and professionally managed administrator service.
Mazars is an international, integrated and independent organization, specializing in audit, advisory, accounting and tax services.
In the UK Mazars has 130 partners and over 1600 employees serving clients from 18 offices and is ranked as the ninth largest accountancy firm nationally.
The core values of Mazars are: integrity, independence, respect, responsibility, diversity and continuity. They translate into a clear obligation to provide independent advice of the highest quality.
